John has been the recipient of Kansas City Business Magazine’s Five Star Best Personal Wealth Manager award for 2007, 2008, 2009 and again in 2010. The award is reserved for area wealth managers who deliver the highest levels of client satisfaction. Only the top 2% of wealth managers in the Kansas City area made this list. This is the fifth year that KC Business Magazine has presented the award, and the fourth straight year John has been a recipient.

The award recipients are chosen through a three tiered system. Initially, a survey is mailed to 26,000 high net worth households (those with a net worth in excess of $500,000) in the Kansas City area. An additional 5,000 surveys were sent out to leaders in the financial services industry. The results of these two surveys determine finalists for consideration. The ultimate winners are chosen by a blue ribbon panel of industry leaders. For 2008 only 218 winners were chosen.
